how to raise fuel siphon tube for onan 8k generator

I have a 2002 country coach magna and it draws diesel from my main tank. I guess there is a siphon tube in there that pulls from and when the tank get a bit low the siphon doesn't draw anymore. Its a safety feature to check you from running yourself out of fuel. I would like it to draw down more if possible?

Yes, typically the generator is set to only be able to access 3/4 the tank. They say it is safety so you don't get stranded.

My current rig with 200 gallon fuel tank means I can still drive about 150 to 200 miles. If I can't find fuel in 15 to 20 miles I must be blind!

It depends on where your fuel sending unit is located. On many Monacos, the fuel pick up was located on the driver's side via a bay door. You could remove it and extend the tube. I don't know how the CC tanks were laid out.
