How to repair/replace a broken wire to the electric foot rest
We have a 2015 Tiffin Allegro Red; one of the wires to the foot rest on the passenger side captain chair is broken. We have removed the chair and see the break has happened inside the electrical connector. We are unable to pull the connector piece out in order to splice the wire back together - any thoughts?

We have been looking for a tab to push which would release the broken piece of wire from inside the plastic casing but don't see one. Here is a picture of both sides of the casing:

I'd try pushing the little red tab shown in the left-hand picture- The one that's towards the middle of the connector. Try pushing the left-side tab to the right. It's usually a small "clip"; once moved past the corresponding hole in the metal contact, the contact should push out towards the back.

Those pins should be removable. Like mentioned, there's a tab inside, that's part of the pin that needs to be pushed in. It requires small tools. May need something like this

Just bypass it if needed. Simple inline crimp. Or buy a simple two prong wire with connector at any automotive parts house.
That connector obviously is difficult to take apart without the proper tool but with a dental pick you may be able to release the pin.

Yep, push towards the center on the little plastic tab in the center between the 2 connectors (first pic)

A Bobby pin melt the plastic dab off the end. If you can solder ,looks like enough room to solder to side of the wire crimp and slide back in to plug.

If you do not have the proper crimping tool for this type of connector, just bybass the connector and either use a butt connector or male/female insulated spade connectors.

Wow - thank you all so much - following your comments/suggestions I was indeed able to get the connector piece out!! Will work to get the broken piece of wire out and reconnect to the existing wire under the chair. The connector is slightly bent so hopefully it will not break apart on me. Thanks again.
