How to replace this backup camera?
I'm going to replace just the backup camera itself. I've watched a few videos of folks replacing their cameras and the housing that the camera is enclosed in had screws so you could remove the entire housing making access a breeze. However, when I looked closely at mine I didn't see any screws to remove the housing. It looks like the only opening is the cable penetration with a plastic grommet.
I'm thinking I would just pry open the the grommet and then I could pull the cable until I see the connector that attaches the camera to the cable that goes to the monitor.
Here's a pic, it really doesn't show much other than there are no screws to remove in the housing, and that my coach really needed a bath at the time of this shot.

It looks like you unscrew the camera from the mounting plate not the actual housing surrounding the camera. Mine wasn't as enclosed but had the same sort of mount. Allen key removed the camera, pulled the grommet and out came the wires. Plugged the new wire in and mounted things back up and was good to go. Tim @ RVcams.com was extremely helpful in getting me what I needed. What I received had all the connection adapters already applied and ready to go.

I just installed some of these on my rig. As ThomB said, that is the entire camera you're looking at. There are two screws on either side holding it in. If you buy the same one you should be able to pop it right in with no compatibility issues.
Here is a link to camera.

Is that a single screw holding the housing in just above the camera?

Thanks for the link, sometimes it's hard to get the manufacturer to give you the part number. I've had to call several different suppliers for other parts because the manufacturer uses different sources.

No it's not, probably just some dirt.

They will send me a camera in a months time which is not as soon as I would like. I have a couple of trips planned before then.
