If your residential fridge runs off the inverter you won't be able to turn off the inverter and run the fridge. If you have an LP/electric fridge I wouldn't run on LP in storage because of the fumes and fire risk.

How many days or weeks will your coach be in storage between uses? How often will you be checking on the coach while it's in storage?

If your coach is going to be in storage more than just a few days or a week between uses then I would empty the fridge and turn it off. How would your new motorhome smell if the fridge decided to shut off or you lost power to your storage unit for a couple of days. I wouldn't risk it. Get a small fridge at home or use a garage fridge to keep all the perishable staples that normally go in the motorhome fridge. JMO and how we do it.

Every month or so there is a post that the storage gfi or circuit tripped and the batteries were dead. Not good for battries.

There has to be a better way. I don't have power at the storage So I turn off the master battery switch for short storage. For the long storage of lets say 3 or more I pull the batteries and keep them in the garage. After about 3 months when the voltage drops to 12.3V, I charge each battery for 24 hours.

I know I'm on the low side compared to other TV for batteries. But if have to replace them it's about $1,000. And, if its because I let them fully discharge Im not a happy camper?? I get 8+ years from my batteries.

You should read your owner's manual for instructions on your specific coach, and try moving this post to the Entegra owners forum. You'll get better information that way.

That said, modern all electric coaches are pretty automated and like to stay plugged in. I leave the charger and inverter on and let the computers manage everything. I do flip the breaker for my fridge and open its doors when storing. That way if I do lose power, I don't get a nasty mildewed fridge.

BTW, I did have the GFCI trip problem when I first put it in storage, but had them put in a new 20 amp breaker and a new 20 amp GFCI, and that solved the problem.

Old info. We have heated lithium, and leave them plugged in all winter.
