Hughes Autoformer question

New coach on order & just heard about the Hughes Autoformer.
I see this is a portable unit that can be mounted permanently in the coach.

I don't like the idea of this siting out where someone could cut a lock & take it.

I would like to be able to just pull out my roll-up connected cord & just plug in at sites.
When you do a hard wire installation, where & how do you locate it & wire it so as to be able to use the roll-up coed that comes with the coach & not have another extension cord to deal with?

Find your transfer switch and if you have room, wire it in as the shore power input to the switch.

I have plenty of room in my electric bay to mount our Hughes inside, but with the length of the power cord, I can hook it to the post, then set it under the coach (out of sight) and use a bike cable like just for the heck of it. For the most part, unless you're camping in a real dump, theft will not be an issue. Also I only use ours when there is an actual low voltage issue being as I already have a build in surge guard.
