HWH auto leveling lost its way
Somewhere in the middle of our last road trip our auto leveling system started acting up.
2004 Phaeton, Freightliner chassis, HWH 625 leveling system.
When the level button on the control panel is pushed 2 times the system first dumps air (and continues through the whole cycle) and the jacks deploy. The control panel has small white lights lit up on the low sides of the pictured RV. As the jacks level the lights go out. When all the lights are out the rig is level. The problem here is the system has not finished and keeps raising the front end and one side. The white lights do not come back on when the coach goes out of level and the system shuts down. When the system is turned back on 2 white lights appear.
I went to the manual to adjust the system. First step is to level the RV. Second is to check the four LED lights on the front of the system near the hydraulics. If any of the lights are on adjust until they all go out. Well, when our coach is level all the lights are out indicating the adjustment is correct.
Went back and auto leveled again. When the system stopped two of the lights where the adjust is to be made are on indicating I'm not level. Somehow the jacks control is not listening to the leveling system.
This is all being done and a reasonably level pad where just miner leveling is require. The crazy system is lifting the front wheels off the ground.
Do not where to go from here?

This happened to mind but on the back. Turns out my wires to the pressure switches mounted on the top of the jacks were cut. Ran new wires and now all is fine. If its not the wires then the pressure switches are bad, and Paul can help you with a new pair.

This forum is the best! Crawled under the front jacks and found the wire from a lower sensor had been ripped out and was missing. Called Paul and he said it happens and is sending me one.

Just wondering Sir,
What "lower sensor" are you speaking of? The sensors on the jacks are up high so, just wondering. We too have the 625 Computer Control Automatic Leveling System and yep, it hiccups once in a while but, for the most part, it's pretty reliable. Our coach is an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT C-7 330HP.

P.S. Yep, AZ PETE is a great guy. I've worked with him closely on an issue I had quite some time ago, and he was instrumental in helping me when we were on a trip.

After reading the HWH trouble shooting I checked the level adjustments. Finding the adjustment was correct my thought was mother board or something very expensive was the problem.
Reading the post from others on this thread I decided to check the wiring on the jacks thinking maybe one came loose. First jack checked there was a single wire receptacle hanging above the jack not connected. I looked all around the top of the jack for the other half but couldn't find anything. Then feeling around the bottom of the jack there was a rubber boot. That boot was protecting the sensor but the wire had been ripped out.
Here are some photos of the receptacle, the sensor without wire and a complete sensor from the other jack.
Note: The level adjust procedure is not what appears in the manual or at lease not what I expected. The adjustment is made on the right bottom side of the box in front of the hydraulic pump that has a glass window. The little cluster of four yellow lights is behind the glass bottom right. I was looking for lights outside the glass near the adjusting screws.

You are correct in the location of the adjustment components. As you've seen, there is a miniature *leveling board* inside that plexiglass covered control center. And yes, it has 4 yellow LED's on that mini board that correspond to the yellow lights on your control panel inside the coach. I have adjusted mine oh, maybe a half dozen times. For some odd reason, it gets out of adjustment. No biggie. I even know what tools to bring when I lay down in front of it to do it.
