Check hydraulic fluid level and battery condition, if not on shore power.

Hi virgil shus,
May I assume the weather is cold where the coach is stored? If this is true, do not worry, unless something just flat will not work. Cold weather and the systems in our coaches is not a good mix. Heat the coach and basement up to 65 degrees or so and see how things work.

Gary I checked his profile and it said West Palm Beach, FL. I hope it's not to cold so maybe it's a fluid level problem or a bad leak. Jim

HWH jack an slide problem

yes i'm from fl. My battery is fully charged and the hyd fluid is 1" from top of tank. i had the engine running when operating hyd jack and slide system was used, it seems to be low hyd pressure. I'm thinking it could be the shuttle valve from what I have read.

Make sure all the manual valves are shut on the control block.

Another thing to check. I had a very similar problem. Ended up being a bad crimp on the house battery negative connector where it was bolted to the vehicle frame ground. The jacks would go down but as soon as they were under load the pump quit. The bad connector lowered the voltage enough that nothing would work if the current draw was heavy. Had to scratch my head for a while to find that one.

Thank you all for your replies. I called HWH early this morning to get on the call back list. Frank called back about noon and we discussed the symptoms. he had me remove hyd tube from shuttle valve on top of hyd manifold and cap off fitting, he then had me operate slides, they worked, diagnosis is bad shuttle valve. He made the order and said it should be here in 2 or 3 days.
