the same for the rear. sometimes the front and rear are the same, sometimes the rear are larger.
if not, i need the diameter and length of the springs, from top of hook to bottom of hook. older 6000 lb jacks take R3847, its about 1 1/2 in
diameter.
9000 lb jacks take R91426. they are about 2 1/4 in diameter.
email me at pfmaddox@att.net i dont look at irv2 every day.

seems to me the question is "does the jack have to be removed in order to gain access to the switch and its connector in order to do the diagnostics recommended in the service manual?"
thanks...

from the positioning show in the photo, i would pull the cylinder to do a good job. it looks like a real pain otherwise.
if you can remove the 2 pin plug, you could test the harness, but not the sensor. the sensor should be removed, tested with a magnet, and an ohm meter between the two pins in the plug. its normally open and closes with a magnet that is embedded in the top end of the cylinder rod.
thats what turns the red light on, on the touch panel

Thanks Azpete! That's what I will do -- I'm guessing that if I back out the 4 bolts that hold the 2 "c clamps" the cylinder will drop down (hopefully without having to disconnect the hydraulic hose) -- then I should have access to the top of the cylinder??? Thanks for your advise with this!
