HWH leveling jacks

So not sure if I have a problem, but a concern with my HWH hydraulic leveling system. Our new to us MH leveled up really nice the first few times we used it, both in the campground and in our driveway. We went to level up in our driveway after returning home (reasonably flat) and it really seemed to struggle extending the jacks. The volume level was also much more from the hydraulic motor. It did finally get level, but really felt like I was giving it a work out, comparatively. I have checked the fluid level, which has a red tint to it, and it is full. Not sure what to do next, suggestions please. Thanks!

Yes the HWH fluid is tinted red and so is Dextron if that has been added. Can you be a little more specific regarding how the jacks are struggling?

Just noisier, and seem to take longer to extend.

Contact Paul at AZPETE on the Irv2 forum. He works for HWH and can answer your questions. His email is pfmaddox@att.net and his phone number is 602-549-3638. He is a Commercial Member and has posted that his phone is always on, and if not answered, leave a message.

He has helped others, including me, on this forum and I am sure he can help you.

My rig makes a lot more noise when trying to level to max. It is normal for my rig, or so says Tiffin and HWH. Of course I can’t tell if it is normal for yours though. Make sure you jacks are clean. HWH advices a nice wash, nothing else. No WD-40 or a lube. If you do use WD-40 to get rid of debris or oil, make sure to wipe the jack down very well so no residual is left on it. My jacks like it if it gets done every year or so.

My system is a HWH 310, I believe. I have not removed the control panel to be sure. I sent Paul an email, but have not received a reply as of yet. Also the legs look nice and clean, like a hydraulic cylinder would. Thanks for the reply’s!

Add me to the list of forum members Paul has helped. Having him on this forum is a huge benefit.
