HWH Levelling system on Triple E not working - HELP!

Hi Guys,

I have placed a deposit on a 2000 Triple E Commander.... but when we tried to test the levelling system, it would sometimes have the ON light turned on, but nothing happened when we tried to shift the hydraulic sticks, apart from the ON light indicator going off.

Sometimes it would not turn ON indicator at all and we started the engine and then turned it off and then sometimes the ON indicator could bee toggled on.

See image below for the ON indicator.

PLEASE HELP :-)

What do you think the issue is and how much do you think it would cost to solve this. I am yet to pay the full amount if we choose to proceed.

THANKS!

My coach has the 310 series HWH , with push button controls .
I had trouble with the main 40 amp inline fuse . picture below , fuse was about a foot from the pump . Touch pad would light up but nothing would work .
Another member with the joy stick controls had the box under the sticks broken resulting in poor contact.
I'll download a copy of the 200 manual to see if there are similarities with my system .

When we bought ours the HWH leveling system was not working. The dealer had to replace the panel on the arm rest and the wiring harness. Cost to get working was about $1300.00

The 200 series manual shows multiple fuses , that need to be tested, and with the system not always powering up ; electrical connections, power and grounds would be the first things to check .
Cost , anybodyís guess , the issue could be a half hour of cleaning connections, or many days of replacing parts.
The HWH system is not complex, I replaced the defective fuse and holder with a 12 volt circuit breaker, and repaired a bad internal ground in the motor. If youíre at all handy this could be a DIY repair.

I don't have the number handy, but contact HWH (Moscow, IA) directly. In the past they've been extremely helpful!

Unfortunately, this time of year you could be in a two week wait for a call back.

JMHO: Make two offers on the unit. One with the system repaired buy the seller, a second $3,000 lower for you to take on the repair. Worth a try.

Thank you so much! We put a another House battery in and it seems to at least be moving now. Need to test out the hydraulics fully now.

intermittent problems are almost always cause by bad connections.
the 200/225 systems need to have the joystick component cleaned. dust, animal hair, kids stuff accumulate in the cavity under the cover.
remove the cover, vacuum it out, and clean the ring shaped circuit board under the bell shaped center lever. do this with a pencil eraser. make sure the three springs on the cover are straight up, 90 degrees from the cover. also clean those connections with the eraser.
let me know if i can help. 1 602 549 3638
