One segment of our next trip is from Clinton Mt. to Clarkston Wa. on Hwy. 12. Is this a good road to take in our 36 ft. motor home or is there a better route to take? How are the curves? Info will be appreciated. --TOM

Tom,
We took that route in 2012, and I will never forget it (in a good way) It is some of the most beautiful highway you will ever travel. We were in a 40' diesel pusher and had no trouble. At the too of a mountain my favorite road sign ever...."descending curves next 99 miles". You will not regret. It's not that steep or sharp, very doable. Good luck!
Great Drive! Stop at the Interpretive Centers near Lolo Pass. A lot of info on the Lewis & Clark Trail.
