Hydraulic slide travel clamps wall locks 2008 Mandalay 43A

2008 Mandalay 43A, driver's side slide (kitchen), went to bring it in for travel. Pushing the slide retract button as normal the wall clamps also started to come out and after the slide moved in about 6" stopped moving probably because the wall clamps triggered it's limit switch shutting down the slide system, thank goodness for that!

Going back out with the slide, the wall clamps retracted back flush as they should be. Wall clamps look like the HWH brochure ML29810

To get the slide to come in I disconnected one of the motor leads and each wall lock motor and got the slide fully in with the retract switch, as normal

Reconnected the motor lead continued to press the slide retract switch extending the wall clamps locking the slide in as normal

Slide is hydraulic I believe Equalizer brand, that's what the leveling jacks are

It's not a wall lock problem it's slide retract problem

What / where is telling the slide electrics that the slide is in when it's not and to extend the wall locks

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Sorry but I don't have a suggestion on the slide problem. Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Fixed, stuck pin switch. Found it in the LP tank bay up high, left side of hydraulic cylinder. Lubed it with WD40, pushed it in / out several times with 18" long 1/4" round rod from the slide side (outside). I'd suggest you find where your pin switches are for reference.

Thanks,

Rich
