Hydro-Max Brakes

Howdy folks,

Mikeado1 here in beautiful Lubbock, TX. Have a 2000 Holiday rambler Ambassador 36 PBS. Needing wiring diagrams showing how the Hydro-Max braking system ties into the coach. And where the system components are located. Anyone? Anyone?

My coach is not a Holiday Rambler. Mine is a 2001 Alpine Coach 38FDDS. I suspect the componets are similar if not the same. The Hydromax system provides boost for both the brakes and the power steering. The hydraulic pump is in th engine bay.Everything else is under the floorboard below the driver's feet. The fuses for my coach are located on the bulkhead near the steerigh box/brake booster equipment. This same hydraulic system also powers my radiator fan.

Your thread might go better is you say what kind of trouble you are having.

The brake booster and master cylinder are under the drivers feet. It's driven by the power steering pump, which is on the engine. Hydraulic pressure controls your parking brake, power steering and power brakes. If you lose pressure you'll have half-power electric brakes, really hard steering, and all that won't matter a whole lot because your parking brake will somewhat slowly self-apply.

The only wiring to it is to the electric emergency booster motor and of course the warning light from the master cylinder.
