I 840 South Warning

Came down I 840 southbound from I 40

Sipping coffee , easygoing 63 mph

See bridge at bottom of hill.

Fist transition onto bridge felt like WOW, bounced pretty good, kicked off cruise, and the other side had two bumps.

Second bump, I swear we got air!

Front end came about 4 inches off the ground.

Landed straight and all appears well.

Any one else do this?

So look out if your heading that way

Yes, I know the route well. I-840 is particularly bad between I-24 and I-65.

The road surface is several inches lower than the bridge decks. This problem has gotten worse around TN in the last ten years,

I used I-840 once, about two years ago and swore I'd never use it again. Those transitions are akin to something you would find on a motocross track.....except you aren't on a motocross bike. Horrible is about the best thing I can say about it.
