I need a recommendation for an in dash radio/camera replacement

Hello everyone. The OEM in dash radio/camera went out in my 2015 Thor Challenger class A motorhome. The radio (which also controls my side and rear camera set up) was the OEM, Jensen model JRV-212-T model (3 camera set-up). Does anyone know of a current, suitable replacement? The OEM Jensen radio is 7 1/8 inches wide, 4 1/2 high, and 6 1/2 deep. I'm looking for something that will approximately fit in the hole, but more importantly have the correct plugs / connections on the back for the radio and camera hook ups. I have already called the original manufacturer and they were no help. I have also done the internet research for the replacement, and that model is also discontinued.

Any suggestions out there? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only old man there that this has happened to.

Try this link.

You need to add a camera multiplexer.
Good luck

If your current unit is double din size, there are several Kenwood head units that have multiple camera inputs. I cannot speak to compatibility of cables and whether you need a video mixer. Most of the newer Kenwood units support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Do you want the camera display in the head unit ? Meaning do you like them in that position. As a fellow old man, I prefer my camera display up on top of the dash so I don't have to take my eyes off the road. I don't have a fancy 3 camera setup I wish I did.

The newest Kenwood, DNR10008RVS, has the option for an HD camera. I wish it had that option for all 3 cameras.

Had a rental car recently with an HD camera. It was crystal clear!

A cheaper option I had looked at was an android unit.

I really liked the units with the QLED display.

Thanks for your response, that's a great idea I will consider. It's good to know there's another old man out there with my same concerns.

JMHO, but I have a three camera system, but only use the rear one. Most of us are creatures of habit which means we are used to using side mirrors, since we drive our toads more than the MH. If I need to look down a side for a fast clearance, my conditioned response is to use the mirror. My AC has triple lens mirrors, so I can see fine, and respond faster than looking for a screen.

Interesting. I guess it is just how you get conditioned.

I NEVER used a turn signal to change lanes here in Dallas with my car. (Everyone considers that a challenge and blocks you.) With the MH, if you put the turn signal on, that camera becomes the only image on the monitor. So, I always now use the turn signal, at least on the MH. It provides a great view of that whole side.
