I Need This Hella Headlight Lens

Guys:
It's a 2 piece sealed unit and the bulb (Type H1) shines behind it not inside it.

The lens is foggy inside and does not come apart.

I googled Hella replacement parts to no avail. It is glass and there are all kinds of markings on it.

Thanks,

60Vette

Is that your main headlight or just a fog light?

Where I was going with this, I replaced my fog lights on my Jeep with some Rigid Industries Dually LED Lights, they fit into my factory Fog Light Holes (about 4" diameter) which look very similar to what you posted. These lights are brighter than my Headlights on my Jeep, maybe twice as bright.

That might be a solution for you. Truthfully, I have been trying to figure out how to replace my Headlights on my MH with these same lights. They are not shown on Rigid's website, but they sell them. I will try to find a picture to post up for you.

Good Luck!

DegoRed:

There are 4 of these on my Coachmen. I would like to replace with the same units for ease of installation but I haven't had much luck finding replacements. I am trying to find a Hella distributor.

Even if I could separate the lens halves I could clean them and reseal but I think I'll destroy them if I keep prying. I'll go onto the Rigid site and look around.

Thanks,

60Vette

To release the glue holding most headlamps together you have to heat the housing to 250F. Then they'll pull apart.

If you get replacements, it's worth trying.

RUNDLC:

A quick look this AM and it appears you are onto something. At least extremely close. I contacted Daniel Stern and we traded mails then he stopped mailing???

I sent him pictures and dimensions and all he had to tell me was the P/N and price and it would have been a done deal. Very strange. Maybe he closed for Christmas but I would think he would have said something. A bit odd.

But thank you for the tip and I'll convert my dimensions to inches and see if they will work.

Ok, it's 0615 and I'm off to deliver flowers all day...

Merry Christmas
