Sounds very familiar ! We were in this same dilemma in November 2010. Newmar 43 DSDP or Tiffin 43 bus ??? both very sweet rigs.. we went with the Newmar !! Reason : the sidewall construction and the Comfort drive system, to die for ! drove both units in the same afternoon, was very easy decision after the drive. Both makers offer outstanding customer factory service, i believe that Tiffin is the new "king" on the block due to there brilliant marketing of customer service.. But make no mistake Newmars CS is right there with Tiffin, they are just a little less vocal about it.. Good luck and you can't go wrong with either of these. So the hard part is over !! BUY IT !!!
