In dash a/c turns hot

06 Itasca Sunova with Ford V10 in dash a/c starts out cold, and as the engine gets hot the a/c turns hot. I suspect that heat from the heater is being blended into the cold. Anybody heard of this?

Usually it is a blend door issue. There may be a "relearn" process for them as with the GM products.

Your RV should have an Evans Tempcon A/C system.

This link to the service manual may help.

And yes it happens but is not the most common cause. Low refrigerant level is the most common cause on older systems. (more than 5 years.)

There is a specific test illustrated in the manual that you can run to help verify your suspicion.
