Inconsiderate RVer

Several days ago, I was at our local Costco getting fuel and there was a guy in the lane one over in a large 45" that pulled up to the front pump in the center of his lane and proceeded to pull the hoses from the pumps on either side of him. Fuel points on both sides of his rig. I pulled in one over, pumped 75 gallons and left and he was still there filling his tank, which was probably 200 gallons. I always pull up to the first pump on the island, so that folks can pull around me and fuel their cars and not cause road rage. One of the guys that went around me, asked why he couldn't fuel from one side and not block the lane for so long. I said that there seemed to be inconsiderate folks everywhere today.

His rig. His money. His choice in maneuvering the fuel island. Next problem?

I didn't know you could activate and run two different pumps at the same time using a Costco Card.
Anyway, look at it this way, he got filled up twice as fast as if he only used one pump.

I'd say that's an [Mod Edit] move!! ...if you think about it he probably blocked a total of 4 pumps(2 either side). The open side could have probably serviced 4 customers in the time he was sitting there taking up half the station...good thing I wasn't beside him, I probably wouldnt have been able to keep my mouth shut!

Get use to it! People have no respect or courtesy for others any more. It’s all about them!

We’ve been on the road for almost 6yrs and respect for others just doesn’t happen any more. We started camping back in the early ‘80s when folks had respect for others, now forget about it…..

If you mean me. He was there when I got there and was still filling when I left. I live 5 miles from Costco and that's 1 1/2 gallons and the least price for diesel between me and Costco was $.40 more, so I saved $30 on the fill and was there less than 30 minutes total.
I fuel at the first pump in line and don't actually block anyone.

I pull a 34' 5th wheel with a Long truck so when I get fuel I block all pumps on that isle

Inconsiderate.........WHY?
I waited my turn then pull up and fuel up

MH with dual fueling capabilities .......using 2 hoses/fills up faster and then moves on

Why does everything become such a whining episode???

What’s the difference between him using both pumps and paying for both, or him only using 1 pump and someone else using the other. Either way, both are in use.

Besides, it’s not as though he’s homesteading that spot.

Try not to sweat the small stuff.

Most Costco's I know of do not have any high speed diesel pumps that I am aware of, so part of the issue is created by Costco. Costco allowed the customer to use 2 pumps at once, and even though a large percentage of Costco customers have diesel vehicles that have large fuel tanks they do not have high speed diesel pumps. I have seen vehicles fueling when I went in and still fueling after I was done. Personally my time is worth too much to spend an hour fueling my rig with a pump intended for a passenger car. I'll spend a couple bucks more to fill my rig in 15 minutes. People used to pay $80 hour for my time, so I save $60 dollars that way.

The OP stated that the guy was using a pump on the Left Side of his MH, in addition to using a pump on the Right Side of his MH. Thus he is tying up 2 lanes and 4 pumps.

Taking up one whole side of the island is one thing, we all do that with a larger rig, but driving down the center and literally hogging every pump around your rig on both.sides??? Im surprised Costco let him do it...I would be embarrassed to do that.
