Inline fuel shut off valve

I have a 09 Fleetwood Discovery 40X with a quick fuel line disconnect to the fuel filter housing. My problem is that I cannot stop the flow of fuel when disconnected from housing. Is anyone aware a procedure to or have installed an inline shutoff valve?

If flex line.
Clamp line with vise grips, cut, and install valve.
