Installing a washer/dryer on a expedition

I'm helping a friend install a washer dryer in is 2003 expedition he did not have one but he has all the pluming and the power wires there but the power wires had a cover not an outlet so we removed that and installed an outlet but there is no power on those wires, I checked the breaker and nothing, does anyone know what could this be? Thanks Joe

It sounds like the wires weren't connect to the breaker box. I would pull the box to find out.

Most coaches that are pre wired were capped off at both ends. You may also need to purchase a breaker for the panel as well but the wires should be there.
Good Luck

We almost purchased an Expedition. The dealer was in the process of installing a Splindide Combo washer/dryer. Wires were capped at both ends. He added a fuse at the main box and conneced the wires. then added a box to plug the combo into. Very easy. Made a nice installation. Oh, we didn't purchase unit because we discovered the MH had been in a flood and had lamination problems. dealer way of over coming these problems was to dazzale a buyer with all kinds of neat gadgets. ed

Then test for power coming out of the breaker. Failing that, make sure the breaker is properly connected to the box. If it is a real breaker, push it all the way off, then back on to propertly reset.
