our current insurance is Hartford, about $430 premium with $500 deductable. Switching to Good Sam in next few days due to their new feature that reduces premium by removing collision and liability during your winter storage months. Maintains the storm damage, theft, etc coverage.

Thanks, I read that there is a clause in Good Sams that the rate is good for only one year then rates go up. I looked at it then I read the reviews and got worried.

While they may not be the less expensive, we have State Farm. When we put the MH away for the winter, we just call them in reduce the coverage for the winter. Next spring we call them and we are ready to hit the road again. Have been with State farm for too many years to change now.

No two policies are alike, if it is financed you can't drop any coverage just because your not using it. In certain states if you drop liability they will call for your tag. Best advise shop around.

just received my annual bill from Progressive for both RVs. The 10 year old Jayco 5W went down 2%, (which has been parked on a seasonal lot from day one)and the 5 year old Winnebago DP went up 20%. OUCH!!! i called Progressive and their first answer was Ohio had a big increase due to claims for all RVs. Caught him by surprise when i said why did they Jayco go down. OOPS.. he then came back and said it was only motorhomes. but he offered to lower the replacement value to help offset the increase. i told him that still not not help with the big increase. i guess i need to start comparing elsewhere.......i wish my pay would go up 20%.....

Just bought a 40' DP to replace our 28' C. Salesperson recommended an agent who got us a policy with Blue Sky for only a few hundred more than our policy with Foremost for the C and one that was $300 to $400 less than the competition who had lesser coverage for the DP. I suggest you contact;

While my coach is an old 97 Fleetwood Discovery, value maybe $20K or so, my insurance is through Geico for $208 per year.
Have collision, comprehensive, towing, $10K personal items, liability $300K/$500K, uninsured motorist, unlock service, etc, etc.
Deductibles are $1,000.
I do have 4 other vehicles insured with Geico.

Insurance
We just purchased a policy (Nationwide) with Miller Insurance Agency ( Miller Insurance Agency). Got Several Quotes and Miller beat the next best Quote (Blue Sky) by $300.00. Best price I've ever gotten on RV.

Just got GMAC because I'm a good same member. Good pricing and no issues yet, but only had it a few months. Rates are good. They favor motorhomes with good sam memberships.

I called Good SAm (GMAC). The rates weren't too different from Hartford. $18-20 less for the storage months. Thanks for the "small print heads-up". I think we'll just call Hartford and shut-off all but the Comprehensive for those months.

X2 on what 1ciderdog says! I was referred to Hi Sage Marketing. by a friend and I found they saved me about $200/yr. over what GMAC and Poliseek were quoting. I wanted a "stated value policy" not one based on what NADA says your M/H is worth, and found they offered all the options and coverages I was looking for. If you call them ask for Kathleen Eisner-she'll take good care of you.
