Insurance
For those of you registered in Florida, how many have "un-insured insurance" Seems that reading my policy its seems awful costly.

How many people do you think have enough insurance on there car to cover a MH? I’d say less than 1%.

If they have insurance at all, 95% of the time it is limited to 25,000 in liability damages because that's all the law requires.

I carry $100,000 / $300,000 uninsured / underinsured coverage on my MH.
The stats show 26% of Florida drivers are uninsured.

Uninsured coverage is the only part of the policy that covers you. All the rest pays someone else for your negligence.

Its only 10,000 in Texas, found that out the hard way when someone with the state minimum totaled my Infiniti when I was stopped at a stop light. My insurance had to make up the 50K that was left after the 10K state minimum was paid.

We carry $250,000/500,000 liability, underinsured and uninsured on all of our vehicles to satisfy our $2,000,000 umbrella policy. AZ is another state that only requires $10,000 liability coverage.

I think you are referring to Uninsured Motorist Coverage, which is part of the state mandated coverage except for some "opt-out" alternatives. In south Florida it is extremely expensive because of the large numbers of uninsured drivers/vehicles on the road, but it's not so bad in the rural areas.
If you have your own medical insurance that would cover you personally in the event of an accident, you might choose to opt out of UIMC. Talk to your insurance agent about it. UIMC includes payment for loss of work income, so think about that aspect too.

Our full coverage insurance balooned up to 1800 dollars couple years ago. I opted out of full coverage all together. I know I might get flamed for this but we only use our RV a handful of times during the year. Having only liability insurance worried me knowing if someone did not have insurance (very common in TX) I would be stuck. I went to my agent just to ask how much UIM would cost. Believe it or not it was only $128 a year and that was for 300K coverage.
