I have safeco for all of my houses and vehicles. When I called my insurance dealer to get insurance for my MH they quoted me a price for progressive. I asked them why there were doing that and they told me progressive was typically a lot cheaper. I reminded them that I had an umbrella policy with safeco and I had to have safeco insurance on the MH to have that cover it. When they quoted safeco prices to me it was approximately 50 per cent cheaper.

Not that this has anything to do with the subject of the thread and those of you who currently have GMAC already know this but GMAC is changing its name to National General.

Between July 1 and August 31, 2013, they will be transitioning but by September 1st, they will go only by National General Insurance.

I don't particularly like it. It sounds too much like National Interstate and could be confused to be them or other insurance carriers who use either "National" or "General" in their names.

Oh well.
