start making phone calls to insurance agents. when I bought my motor home the agent in my insurance company office quoted me a price from progressive even though I told her specifically I wanted safeco. When her boss got back in the office I asked why she insisted on quoting safeco and pointing out that I had safeco automobile and an unbrella company so I had to go with safeco. the boss said she quoted progressive because they had been so much cheaper on Rv's the boss agreed I had to use safeco because of the umbrella policy. Safeco was one half of the price of progressive. I have my motorcycle on progressive because it is a lot cheaper than safeco. I have my tractor on farmers because they were 1/4 the price of safeco. Depends on what you are insuring take the time to check a lot of them.

At first I was quoted 575 for annual policy. 4 months I received a call informing me the rep was incorrect but they would honor for the term. 3 months later I filed a claim for full replacement if the awning and body damage. After a slight holiday delay by the adjuster, all was taken of and I'm more than happy with good Sam. Now up to 1300 per year but everything's covered and no worries.

I know these quotes cover all sorts of different circumstances, and mine's no different. I pay around 1100 a year through Blue Sky for my Class A. Mine's a full-timer policy and also includes a high amount for personal item loss, since it's my home. Not really that bad in my opinion.

We've just renewed our policy with National Interstate again. This will be our 3rd year with National and even after researching alternatives *again*, National still comes out WAY on top for us.

Our premiums have stayed the same for, now, the 3rd year - although we haven't had a claim either

We have 250K/500K coverage for Bodily Injury & Uninsured Motorist, 100K coverage for property damage, 10K in medical payments, 10K for vacation liability, 5K coverage for our car trailer that we tow, 5K for personal effects, glass coverage as well as a 50K purchase price guarantee. Our comprehensive and collision deductibles are $250.00

This coverage is for part-time use at a cost of $730/year.

I may inquire about upping our deductibles to $500 or even $1000 to see if we can save a few more dollars on the annual premium ... but as I recall from a couple of years ago, the savings was not *that* much.

I just ran a free online quote with Good Sam Insurance and for *similar* coverage - without coverage for our car trailer and no purchase price guarantee, the rate is $1,080/year. If I opt for a $1,000 deductible instead of $250, I can save $116.00 year with Good Sam.

Once again, National Interstate comes out on top for me.

I use Geico, the policy is $190 for six months. Full coverage, Comp and Collision 250/500/250 $250/$1000 deductibles with road side service, glass, everything including the kitchen sink.

I know everyone is proud of their insurance company, as a former insurance agent I was loyal to Farmers for years, took it in the shorts like so many you because your insurance agent is your buddy. Geico is no different than Farmers or State Farm, except the rates are 1/4 the price. Progressive jerked me around by raising rates. When you're the premium customer with many lines of full coverage you don't jerk people around. Geico, cheap and does the job, get over the big three, they rip you off. If Geico raises rates I will move.

Thanks for saying that!! I have Safeco for cars and had progressive for MH - I had 2 separate companies because when I first need to insure the MH I was with another firm that didn't do MH's. Long story short, after reading this, I asked my agent why we shouldn't be using Safeco for the reasons you listed - Progressive was 1450 - Safeco looks like it will be about $850. Well worth the question!! Thanks again!

Just purchased my first DP and did the footwork on insurance--Progressive was half the price of the other companys and my dealer said (before i bid the insurance) that they were the best to deal with on a claim.
