interior renovation

We just bought an 85 fleetwood southwind. The p.o. Had it since '89 and seemed to take fairly good care of it. However it is in need of some updating.
We were planning on replacing the carpet with vinyl flooring and reading the walls. (p.o. Had done a terrible job using contact paper for wallpaper)
Our 1st time out last weekend and a compression fitting, on one of the lines going to the water heater, let loose while we were at the pool. After 2+ hrs of water pouring onto the floor we moved up the timeline on the renovations.
We are planning on painting the walls and wood, and putting a tile look vinyl flooring.
I just wanted to see some pics of others that have redone their interiors. I can't seem to find any picture threads on here.
Thanks in advance
Matt.

Redoing '84 MH

Hi, we are redoing our '84 MH. We decided to replace the floor with a hardwood pergo type floor. It looks great! The only thing is the quarter round was a tuff one to fit. We changed out all the cushions and associated trim. Redoing cornis boards throughout. I'll see how to send some pics. Lyleand Linda

Here are some pictures of our floor project.

We used the Dupont Brand from the Homedepot. Here is a link to the selections http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/cata...5yc1vZare1Z393

You do need to buy this tool kit. Accutite Wedge Laminate Flooring Installation Kit-TL129341 at The Home Depot Without the wedge in this kit it's impossible.
Watch these videos and you'll be a lot better off. DuPont? Real Touch® Premium Laminate Flooring Installation Videos

We liked this product because of the locking method and the fact that it has the backing pre installed, so there's nothing needed between the floor and the product.

It took us about five days to complete the job from just behind the cockpit chairs to the bedroom door.

Just be sure there are no staples left in the floor and that the slide has no protruding screws on the bottom surface.

OH Yea we really like it. The Throw Rugs now stay where we put them, and cleaning up after the Dogs is easy, with the central vac I installed. But that's another story

Thanks Dick I actually had seen your thread before. It looks very nice!
We were thinking about doing a one piece vinyl sheet floor (linoleum) but we haven't made any final decisions on that yet.
I have never done any flooring work before. We don't have a slideout so we don't have to worry about any of that business.
Most of the other vehicle type forums I've been on have whole sections for pictures and build threads. I was surprised to not see that here. (hint hint admin. Lol) but I will keep looking. I did search for mods for rvs and found a couple threads that could be good, will have to do some.more investigating. Thanks again. As always more pics and advice is always welcome!
