Ours will start to heat up within minutes of the AC going off in Texas. It's 100 outside with a blazing sun, and the RV is a poorly insulated box.

I don’t know how quickly ours will heat up, but we’re going to be in south Texas in 90+ degree heat. I wouldn’t think it would take long for it to heat up. I would never forgive myself if something happened to our fur children because I was too cheap to invest in a monitoring system.

Its nice to be able to look at the app and see what the temp is inside. I think I paid $99 for one year of monitoring.

Got ours. It’s all set up in the house, but temperature is way off. House is set to 74 and I know it isn’t even close to 80. The device is showing 87. I emailed them and am waiting to hear back.

Second RV Pet Safety. Just have to have a mobile phone signal (Verizon).

That's odd. I have our thermostat set for 85 in the RV since we're not currently using it and the Marcell set to 95. The temp is pretty close to the thermostat temp every time I look at it and it hasn't alarmed.

Seems very odd to us as well. After days of going back and forth with RV Pet Safety, I finally sent an email this morning asking if I can send this one back (purchased through Amazon via a link from RV Pet Safety) and have them send me a working one. We’ll see what happens...

We use an app called Temperature Surveillance. If you have an extra cell phone it works great. The cell phone is plugged in to the power and sends texts to another phone if the power goes out or the temp rises above the set temp. You can also send a text to the phone in the RV and check the status. Has worked quite well for us and the app was free.

Send a message via Yahoo to xjpr
marCELL

bought the marcell 2 months ago for a very long adventure, it's very pricey with the monitoring fee but i've spent more on vet bills, imagine coming home to your dogs........... so far it's worked perfectly

I can't find anything called "Temperature Surveillance".
Are you sure that's the right name?
