Inverter not recognizing shore power

Freedom 458 Inverter stopping working last month. Took it to camping world (worst mistake ever) and had a new transfer switch put i. As this is what Freedom customer service said to do. Unit back, new transfer switch. Put i verter back i. And connected up. Same issue as before I spent 800.00. Invert is a solid green light, 2nd light “charge/gel1 is blinking, which means no shore power but the voltameter put on the shore power says different.

Poweline on wall is not indicating incoming shore power at all.

Any suggestions? Freedom from asia lady says take to a service center. Im in Florida now and thats 7 hrs away from me.

Do I need a new inverter. It is not humming but it is making a clock ticking sound. 🤦*♀️

Thx.

Here is a start to trouble shoot your Freedom 450 inverter charger from web sites. Did you turn off the units breakers for a few minuets and then turn them back on? Don't know if that would do a internal reset. Never had to trouble shoot one.

So both the Powerline and the Freedom 458 agree there is no incoming 120v power. That's two independent opinions that your shore power isn't reaching everywhere it should. I'd get out the VOM and start searching Within & behind the load center (breaker box) to see where the power is and is not. You say a voltmeter shows shore power voltage, but where did you measure it? At the pedestal? At the shore cord or transfer switch?

Did you ask CW to diagnose the Freedom, or just tell them to replace the 458's transfer switch? It seems it wasn't the problem afterall, but maybe they only did what you asked.

Inverter not recognizing shore power

Try PCS Electronics in Columbia MO just west of St. Louis if necessary. Go to YouTube and search them out. They can help.
I tend to believe however it is not your inverter.

Validate AC power in to the inverter. The fact that they replaced your transfer switch which rarely fail and didn't validate the inverter - and I am sorry those inverters fail - makes me suspicious. Really simple, the house AC power in should be showing 120V. You may have to pull the inverter to get to the incoming wires, obviously disconnect shore power first.

Could be as simple as a bad cord plug , check power at the reel, then at the incoming on your transfer switch.
