I recently purchased a 27ft Itasca Sunova and notice what I would describe as a sort of high pitch tone related to air flow over the front of the coach. This seems to start right about 60mph and is quite irritating after a while on the road. Wondering if it might be air flow over the cb radio antenna mount or ??? Anyone with similar experience

I had the same problem and got my answer here. You may not have the same problem but it was a fin on my grill that was loose and would make the noise from 55 to 64. Good luck finding it.

Can you find which area its coming from? Left/right, high/low? Thats a fairly clean front end and it should be easy to track down...

Hard to know for sure but it sounds like upper left (drivers side) which is why I was suspecting the antenna mount. There is also a screw for the window moulding on that side that's not seated entirely. I tried to tighten it but wasn't able to get any movement out of it. Need to try again to at least eliminate that.

Place painters (blue) tape over different areas and screws to try and eliminate them... dont forget your wipers, and the windshield seal/gasket..

On my previous MH it was the air passing over the generator exhaust pipe. Like blowing over a bottle. i put an elbo on it and stopped it.

There are several posibilities,, But start by taking a very very very close look at the windshield seal.. Mine likes to come loose.. Then start looking for small holes in the firewall or joints.. or front cap.. Check the marker lights too.

This is not as effective as the professional method, but if you have a fantastic fan with a REVERSE fire it up in reverse (intake) close or stop up all vents you can and soap down the front of the coach paying attention to the areas I mentiond.. Bubbles are a bad thing... Seal.

GOOP.. Good general purpose sticks to most everything sealant.

I had the same high pitched noise above 65-70 mph. It was coming from the right front and I was able to trace it to the right front passenger seat. It turned out to be my Wife.

I think we all have that noise. Thank God we are losing our hearing! Since I got the GPS unit and she works it, I just say "I thought it was the GPS talking and didn't listen to a word".....

True story…….
My then 85 year father-in-law who was very hard of hearing kept on complaining that his Buick had an intermittent humming type noise in it. He would call me and complain and when I visited him I would take the car out and drive around and hear nothing. He took it into three dealerships and they could find nothing. This went on for over a year and it was driving him crazy. So one time when we visited we all went out to eat and went in his car with me driving and him sitting in the front and both women in the back. Suddenly my father-in-law yelled at me that he could hear the noise. All I could hear was my mother-in-law in the back humming a song which she did all the time. I asked her to stop and my father-in-law suddenly said that the noise had stopped also. I guess he had a hard time hearing us talk but the frequency of her humming was different and he could hear that.
