Bill and I are also considering moving to a Class A. Towing the 5vr on the expansion joints and pot holes is getting more and more miserable with each birthday.

I want AIR RIDE so if it does not have that it is out of the running.

Blonde question: Can you get air ride on a gas model?

Is it stupid? Nah I don't think so. If your budget can afford it go for it. Only you can really make the real decision though.

I think air ride (Air Bags, Air Suspension) only comes with Diesels since they generate the air pressure for braking. Hmm,,, Someone may post a gas MH with air bags.

As I sit here in the house after a hard day at work and type this our two year old Fleetwood Terra 34 foot class A that replaced our TT sits in the back yard awaiting the next weekend adventure. We use ours to visit family and friends a few times a year and the yearly vacation but would not go back to a TT for anything. Go for it.
