Get a tire shop to inspect your tires. 14 years is a long time to be taking a chance that they are okay.

yeah, that’s what i thought :-(

this is the right rear outside tire on the dynasty we picked up last may but haven’t used. the left outside rear shows 2011 and i’ve gotta get a diagnostic camera on the inside tires to verify dates on those and replace as needed.

thx for the feedback.

Had an 8 year old inside dual blow out. $12,000 damage plus $2,000 towing.

The irony is I had 4 brand news ones sitting at the Workhorse dealer waiting for me. I was 70 miles away when it blew and tore out all the wiring for the coach control panels. So the last 70 miles to get to them was on a tow truck hook.

My advice....Get all new tires and be done with it.

My coach had 15000 miles on her when I picked her up last year. Tires looked GREAT! No cracking or weather checking at all, great tread depth. But date code said 1998!! I changed all 6 right away. What a difference in handling and driving!

A few months ago I looked at a 2001 Georgie Boy with 26K miles. I'm a greenhorn and didn't know about MH tires aging out until I was informed on a web forum. Checked the date codes, 3200. Yep, still had the tires it was born with.

Not only a safety issue but old tires get hard and really make for a rough ride and also handle less than desirable.

On virtually all RVs, they will age out long before we wear the tread off them.
