Isolator Not Energizing
I have a 1993 Pace Arrow motorhome on a Chevy P 30 chassis. The isolator hot terminal is not energized with the ignition switch on. Therefore, the alternator is not charging the house batteries. The pin on the board is number 5 "Isolator Relay Hot Terminal." Also, the moment switch which jumps the chassis battery with the house batteries is not working because it uses the same relay. The relay is: "The Automatic Charging & AUX Start Relay.
1. Is there a fuse for this pin?
2. Can I bypass the hot wire with another hot ignition switched wire?
3. Do I have to purchase a new board?
I have attached a schematic for reference.
Thanks;

There should be a fuse near the power source, possable near the ignition switch or ignition relay.
Can't read the images you posted.
You can hot wire it but be sure to fuse any feed you decide to use. Inline fuses are cheap and simple.

Thanks. I was thinking of using an inline fuse off of one of the ignition wires in there. If you click on the schematic it should be large enough to read. Where would such an ignition switch you are talking about be?

Curious, does the F6 fuse, 7.5A, in your diagram (inside the BCC) check good? 12v on both side with key on?
Seems to me that is the ignition supply to this BCC.

I did not check that one. Perhaps it could be the one. Coach is in storage. I will check it tomorrow.
Thanks for the tip!

If that is an Intellitec BCC, give them a call with the model number and they will give you all the service information on your BCC. They provided me with all the information on my 1995 vintage BCC via E-Mail in PDF format so I could file and print as needed. You could also go to their WEB site and see what you can fine to be of use to your equipment.

Are you testing the energizing signal by just putting the ignition in the run position, or have you tried it with the motor running too? I was trouble shooting mine a couple weeks ago and I think I recall mine only engaged with the motor actually running. This lead me to believe the signal to automatically energize that solenoid came from the alt output.... And also the manual emergency start switch.
Disclaimer, mine only has 2 solenoids and a little newer, so might not be applicable here. Just tossing this out there. I also have a fuse thats built into the 1 solenoid housing itself. Not sure what it powers as it was good and didnt require further investigation.

Yes, mchero; They all tested good.
I went ahead and ran a fused wire from a spare ignition source to the terminal. It works fine now. Both house and chassis batteries are now charging with the engine running.
I will continue to monitor.
