Issue with instrument panel

The fuel gauge, speedometer, & tachometer on our new to us 2007 Fleetwood Bounder 35e do not work. We have a Chevrolet Workhorse 22 chassis. We sent the cluster to Ultra RV two times. When they hook it up to their equipment, it works fine, but in our motor home, the warning lights flash & the gauges do not operate. We appreciate any assistance.

Have you checked gauge harnesses for power? Have you checked fuses ? Critters love tasty wires and rubber hoses and lines on rv and eat, short, nest and create havoc.. so always keep critters in the back of your mind all the time..
When is last time you cleaned the wire connections at battery disconnects. Use all safety precautions..

As quick check.. install gauge cluster.. and take set of jumper cables.. hook one end to trans body and one to eng body.. next both of other ends to chassis battery negative.. you are directly grounding eng and trans back to battery ground.. that will tell you if a grounding problem .. see SCOTTY KILMER . You tube.. he passes that idea on.
As always good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you
Remember you are only checking grounds.. with battery cables.. never ground positive on battery.. use all safety precautions.. don't get confused.. just to go over it again.. install gauge cluster.. take set of jumper cables.. hook red and black clamps to negative on chassis battery.. NEGATIVE ONLY .. then 1 of other end to eng and other to trans.. you are checking for ground only.. the computer on these use grounds to power different sensors.. and if you loose a ground then it can affect instrumentation..

Had the same issue with a prior W-22('05). It was a corroded connector on the starter. Power to the starter comes from the chassis cutoff switch then from the starter to the cluster. In our case, it killed the ignition as well.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

You might want to see if there is a common ground for those gauges. That would affect all three.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
