Itasca Ellipse 42QD Starter Battery Replacement

Good evening,

While driving I started receiving notifications of low voltage. When I finally stopped driving I did a load test and the 2 started batteries failed. I am on a trip and need to replace them. They read Part# A1131CMF. Do I need to find a truck dealer for them?

Before I condemned my batteries, I would have the charging system checked.

A low voltage indication, while driving, points to a fault in the charging system.

Once you stop, the batteries, that were carring the electric load, would fail a battery test.

If you can start the MH ( Try the Boost Switch ) you can check the battery voltage, while running. Look for more then 13.5 volts.

If it's a charging system, you may be able to continue your travels with the generator running and the boost switch held on.

Thank you

Thank you for the information. I tested it this morning and you were absolutely correct. In the interim before I have it replaced I set the booster to stay on. The voltage is now hanging at 13.4 instead of 11.8.

Thanks again.

I wanted to post an update to my battery issue. As you told me it was the alternator. I had it replaced and now I have 14.1 volts. Thanks for the information.
