I've had my 2004 Bounder for 1 year

Well my Bounder is 1 year. Time to change the oil. I’ve got less than 2,000 miles engine and less than 100 hours on the generator, since the last oil change. I'll be putting Rotella T6 in the generator and I'm not sure yet on the engine oil and filter. I sure the owner manual will give me the correct filters and engine oil weight. To bring everyone up to date, I did have the refrigerator and break recalls done and the microwave needed to be replaces. I did have a little water dripping in at the satellite poisoning handle over the driver’s seat. The service people said it was the o-ring. But I think it is still leaking. Other than those things it is a great machine.

What Chassis do you have, Ford or Workhorse? For tons of info on oil and lube do a forum jump below to your chassis. Lots of ideas on oils, filters, how many lube fittings and how to lube it correctly. Then go have fun

Since you stated a brake recall , I'll assume its a Workhorse. Maybe someone with that chassis will jump in. As far as the genny , it calls for 10w40. Rottela makes it.

Sounds like you like your Bounder as much as we like ours! Congrats on a mostly trouble-free first year. The leak around the handle would concern me, so I would get that taken care of ASAP. Just a little water can do a lot of damage. Good luck and I hope you continue to love your RV.

Ya I think I got a good one.

I went with Moble 1. 10W 40 for the genny and 5W 30 for the engine. I do have a 4 year service contract with CornerStone. They have paid for everything so far. If the next rain shows any water inside, back it will go to service. Thanks for the advice.
