Jack Pad Destruction
This is what happens when a rookie decides to set-up by himself....
Failed to leave enough clearance for the jacks against the curb.

did you back over a curb while parking? Or drove off one? Jacks hang so low on many of these rigs it’s a concern on uneven ground sometimes as well.

Gotta watch out for those curb stops and other things too!
I was helping a camper figure out why he couldn't get any power into his coach. The electrical post was good, but power was not getting inside the coach. That was when I saw his power cord was under the stabilizer jack leg and was squashed flat.

I lowered Jacks with the back of the plate hitting the curbing. Bent the plate back and tore my Snappads. Lesson learned....

oh yeah that’ll do it. But Ive seen worse, and I bent a jack mount driving over in parking area with big dips and rocks. On my Bay Star they were only 6” off the ground fully retracted.
FWIW (which probably is not much at this point) I always check the surface before lowering the jacks if it wasn’t entirely clear on entering the parking area, and with my current coach I walk around and visually confirm that they are all the way up before leaving. They always are but it only takes once. On the Bay Star I could here them stow and just counted the four clunks when they were all the way up. On this rig I can’t hear them so I check.

Thanks for this post
The wife and I use checklists for critical stuff, like backing the mh into a site. We are on walkie-talkies. I have her constantly watching for all the stuff I would hit if left on my own. I’m adding the curbing, railroad tie, or whatever that could mess up the rear jacks to our checklist.

I bent one in half like that when it came down halfway on a buried rock.

I wonder if SnapPad will warranty those?
I'm being funny, but it can't hurt to ask. Tell them you damaged yours and need to order two more, they might just send you a goodwill pair.
