Jacks

We have a 1997 35 ft bounder and are having issues with the jacks. We bought this used and when we push the button for the jacks we hear the motor. Nothing happens though. Anyone have an idea what we can do? We are trying to fix as much as we can ourselves

Are they electric or hydraulic? If the latter have you checked to make sure there is fluid in the reservoir?

A photo of control board would also help, is there a rocker switch for up and down.

First thing to know is the brand of leveling system, e.g. Power Gear, HWH, etc. It's probably Power Gear in that coach, but get the name from the control panel. Also the model name/number if possible. Op manuals and troubleshooting help is available online for most of those - find Power Gear levelers on the Lippert (LCI) website.

The motor is a pump and it pushes hydraulic fluid into the jacks after the controller board electrically opens the valves in each jack hydraulic line. It may be the controller did not open the valves or tried but was unsuccessful. It would be rare for all the valves to go bad at once, but maybe a control wire broke or power was lost.

On my HWH system I could hear the motor running but the pump was not pumping fluid. I ended up having to replace the pump, motor and reservoir.

We really need to know the brand of the jack system. Take a pic of the device that you checked the fluid in too.
