Jacks up or down in storage

Tried to do a search on this , I am sure it has been discussed somewhere before, but my question is it better to use the leveling jacks or not when storing long term?
Thanks

I store jacks down but I solidly block up as high as I can to keep minimal exposure of the rams.

When we did Camp Freightliner they had a suggestion that made a lot of sense. They suggested building a set of blocks to put under the jacks. Leave just enough clearance to get the blocks under the jacks. Deflate your air bags with your levelers. This leaves the weight on the non-extended jacks and saves the tires from carrying all the weight. We've done that every winter for the last six years.

X2. Works very well and keeps the full weight of it off the tires while it's sitting.
