Just a rant on locks
You would think that spending over 100k on a motor home they could at least make the lockable compartments keys unique.
I wonder why the insurance companies cover any claims. You might as well not even lock these things.

If they are the common CH751 keys, there are sites that will sell you new locks with different keys. On a Class C I had, I replaced all the CH751 keyed locks with locks that used those round keys.
My current Journey has the compartment locks the same as one of the main door keys. When you look in the Winnebago parts manual, you will see that there are 8-10 different keyed locks listed. When I had to replace my broken main door lock, I had Tri-Mark key the main lock to the original key and the deadbolt came with new different keys.
I am sure you can get new locks with different keys if you feel you need better security.

I only received 1 key to my Class A’s only door. Am I to assume this is a common key in which I can order another or do I have to order another lock? Can a locksmith make another key of this kind?

Our 2000 DSDP came with the same keys as others coming off the line. Our 2002 came with different keys although there were probably only a dozen or so different ones used overall. Not sure what my present CC uses as they are locked and unlocked by my key fob although there are keylocks too.

The point is we would not allow Ford to get away with all their new trucks having the same keys. We should not have to pay more to fix this stupidity.
Maybe if the insurance companies said they would refuse to insure new RVs that don’t have unique keys they would fix this.

Let's face it, no one wants the crap we store in the compartments.

I have used this site to duplicate coach keys of all types (entry and cargo) on two motor homes. All of them worked no issues:
https://www.lostakey.net/
Some cargo lock keys can be purchased on Amazon or Camping World.
Local locksmith can duplicate if they have the blanks, have ordered blanks on Amazon before. Easier to just use Lostakey.

Just yesterday I told a tech that is coming Monday that I'd leave the door unlocked if he got there before us. His reply: "I have a key". Smile.
BTW, in about 15 years of lots of RVing (including Mexico), I have never had anything stolen. It is very rare that I lock the basement because a crook will do more damage than the stuff that is in there.

Agree^^.
At best, the locks discourage a would-be thief who doesn't want to take the time to break in, but a dedicated thief simply damages the entry point. I consider the locks simply an "ounce" of prevention and that ounce is relative to the 33,000 lbs. of the coach.
BTW, you may wish to read my "Thieves" thread in the Alpine sub-forum.
