Just got my new discounted Hankook tires

Monday I took off work and we took the RV in for our first tire change. I took advantage of the FMCA tire discount and had the local Goodyear shop (Wilks Truck Tire, Decatur, AL) replace my 9 year old Michelins with brand new Hankook AH37 tires. Cost was just a tick over $3000 mounted, balanced, installed. I am very happy with the way the RV rides now.

Congrats on the new footwear! How did the price you got from FMCA compare to other quotes you had?

FMCA discounted tire price was $2189.16 for 6 Hankook AH37 tires. Balancing, installation, disposal fees and taxes brought the total to $3011.

Hankook is a good tire. The FMCA program is an improvement, but I bought Eight 295/80/22.5 Toyo M144's for $3615.00 from a local dealer. That included mounting, balance and sales tax. The smaller 275/70/22.5 was less. I kept the old tires and sold them to a trucker for $500. Quite often local dealers will beat the bigger discount houses like Simple Tire and the FMCA program. Just need to ask.

I need new tires. Currently have Goodyear G670, 275/80R22.5 What would be a good replacement tire. I would like Goodyear G670, but all the dealers want to sell me Goodyear's that are 2 years old.
