Kantleak replacement 2014 Palazzo 33.2

This project required three trips to my local plumbing shop so when I got finished I wrote up the following:

Parts list
1. MANRV102-RF
2. Two (2) each faucet supply hose 1/2” x 1/2”, FNPT x FNPT. I used 20” length
3. Close nipple ½ “
Procedures
1. Drain water and hot water tanks
2. Remove Kantleak handles
3. Remove nuts securing Kantleak to cover plate
4. Remove cover plate
5. Remove Kantleak valve hoses and pex pipe connections labeling each one as it is removed.
6. Remove Kantleak valve
7. Remove and save brass fitting in the center of Kantleak valve
8. Note: hot water bass pass connections need to be switched. Top connection moves to the bottom of the new valve and bottom moves to the top.
9. Screw close nipple into one end of a faucet supply hose. Screw nipple with hose attached into top hot water pex pipe. Rotate pex “T” 90 degrees or more to give adequate clearance.
10. Screw ½” end of saved brass fitting from Kantleak into remaining faucet supply hose.
11. Reconnect saved brass fitting with hose attached to main cold water supply pex. Rotate pex “T” 90 degrees or more to give adequate clearance.
12. Remove handles and nuts securing MANRV102-RF to cover plate.
13. Connect hoses to new valve as they were on the Kantleak except the hot water lines that must be switched as discussed above.
14. Remove check value from Kantleak. Connect to RV input water line . Turn on water and check for leaks. Resolve any leaks found
15. Remove Kantleak check value
16. Connect MANRV102-RF check value to input line
17. Secure MANRV102-RF to cover plate.
18. Mount cover plate.
19. Reinstall handles.
20. Check valve operation
21. Done
