Kinked Water Lines Restrict Water Flow to Kitchen

Looking for suggestions on how best to eliminate kinked water lines made of flexible, braided PVC. When I extend my kitchen slide, 2 water lines beneath the slide kink and really reduce water flow. They will eventually leak, as the kink is quite severe (imagine holding the line in your hands, twisting it and then bending it).

Only idea I've come up with is to cut the lines, and insert some type of fitting/coupler to re-mate. To complicate matters, it's all I can do to get one hand on the place where the kink is located.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Can you see where the flexible line connects to the hard lines? Replace the soft line from there instead of piecing it which adds another failure point. Tie wrap the new lines better than new but make sure you are accounting for the slide movement on where and how taught you tie them up.

I never realized the core of braided lines was PVC. Thanks for that.

I don't have a coach with a kitchen slide, but I did have experience keeping hoses from kinking on industrial robots which twist every which way. I have 2 ideas for you.

1. Change the length of the hose. Sometimes a shorter or longer length will avoid a kink if it still fits.

2. Bundle or sheath the kinking hose with a hose that is stiffer, like automotive heater hose.

Good luck.

Change the lines to longer stainless braided lines available at your local hardware store.
