Kitchen Counter Extension

I want to install a kitchen counter top extension that can also fold down when not in use.
Any simple suggestions, that will look professional?

I have one in mine, but it's factory. Very simple though, it's just a matching piece of counter top material attached to simple fold down bracket on the open end of a lower cabinet. The brackets shouldn't be too hard to find.

We have a double sink in ours (most do) with counter matching covers for both. We extended the counter by leaving one side covered al of the time and only using 1/2 of the sink. It works for us and doesn't look too shabby.
