Kitchenaid Refrigerator not working on inverter

I’ve searched and not found a thread for this. It’s an odd one...or really simple fix, which i would welcome.

Kitchenaid refrigerator KRFC302EPA00
The refrigerator works on
- generator
- shore power 30 or 50

it will NOT run when just on house batteries or even with engine running .

Brand new inverter installed last week.
Magna MS2812
Could there be a setting on this that needs “switched”??

First question is the inverter turned ON?

Kitchenaid Refrig not working on inverter

There may be a fuse on the inverter itself that need to be reset

Switch the plug to the ice maker plug. Propane's didn't need inverter power but the ice maker did.

Switch the plug to the ice maker plug. Propane's didn't need inverter power but the ice maker did. They are usually wired that way

Ok you got a replacement inverter what inverter did you replace.

Some residential refrigerators do not like modified sign wave inverters.

Verify both inverters have the same specs.

Looks like the one you put in is pure sign wave but please get the full model # to be sure.

The magnum 2812 is a PSW inverter.

The ms has a rv unit and a standard unit the main difference is the standard is one leg in one leg out. The rv is two legs in two legs out.

Is 1/2 of all your breakers not working?

Follow advice above . Plug something else in to both outlets like a fan or lamp ect.

Are you certain that the refrigerator is on the inverter circuit? If it works on generator and shore power it seems the refrigerator outlet was not relocated on the inverter circuit. If you replaced a regular absorption unit with a residential you would have to relocate.

Good luck

On the bottom of our inverter is a GFCI outlet. Check and make sure that is not tripped.

still not working - half is working.

Thanks ALL for jumping in to help on this!

Here are some answers to your questions:
- inverter is showing ON in multiple screens (pix below)
- the new inverter that the shop installed is EXACT duplicate model and version.
- When I switch off shore power, REFRIG AND ALL BACK END OF COACH goes dead. Front outlets still put out 120V .
- Microwave is working as it is on a different circuit.
- circuit breakers all have been cycled for these areas, inverter, etc.
- single breaker on inverter is not out.
- POSSIBLE CLUE?....there was a complete new set of batteries installed a MONTH ago in the coach by same shop. They are maintenance free so dont bring up water

So, in summary, it appears half of coach is working on inverter and half isn't!

Any help is appreciated.

We are going to plug refrigerator into microwave outlet today and head down the road. Check back tonight.

There are two AC outlets behind our Norcold. One is inverter powered for the ice maker and the other for the fridge is not. I switched the fridge to the inverter-powered AC outlet so we can keep it on AC while driving.
