Start by collecting some basic info...
- have you checked the house batteries, and is acid/water level correct over the plates ?
- what is the battery voltage, after sitting disconnected for an hour?

You said converter, but:
- Are you referencing a converter which takes 120 volt ac, converts to 12v dc, which charges the batteries?
- Or are you referencing an inverter, which takes 12vdc and makes 120v ac out of it, which allows you to run small appliances?
