Leao LLF02 315/80R22.5 116T Light Truck Tire

I have a Class A Country Coach 40' Magna with 8 tires (40,000 Lbs) and am looking to replace the existing tires (with same size). In researching all brands of tires, I came across the above subject brand/size offered by numeorus dealers and surprisingly Walmart. Walmart is the lowest price after taking shipping charges into consideration and Walmart can also install them, which surprises me.

Leao LLF02 315/80R22.5 116T Light Truck Tire
Walmart's price per tire: $286.16 per tire + $25 per tire installation incl. Road Hazard

The questions I have....

1.) Does anyone have experience with this brand on a class A MH?
2.) Road noise?
3.) I would like to confirm these tires are in fact for use on an RV also.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Jack C.

That is a light truck tire. I think the "116T" means a load capacity of 2756#. Which is about what a 1 ton pickup truck might have. You will want a load index close to "150" or higher for your Country Coach. Personally, I will stick with well known proven brand like Toyo, BFG Goodrich, Bridgestone, Hankook, Michelin, etc.

There must be a typo somewhere in what you are reading.

For starters, there is no way a tire of that size would be for a "light truck" application AND I would be amazed to find ANY Walmart location that can mount or balance a 22.5" truck tire.
IF your CC actually uses the size you included in your post, I suggest you keep looking.

Never heard of them, price sounds low for that size of tire.

They are made by the Linglong Group, a China national enterprize. They are one of the 10 largest tire manufacturers in China. Not sure what that means, but I know all I need to know.

I agree with Edgray , there must be some sort of a typo.
8 tires with a load rating 116 2756lbs, would only give you a max load of 22000-23000 for your 40000lb coach.
When I google that tire "Leao LLF02 315/80R22.5 116T Light Truck Tire" it came up with many different things. one did show a load of 156 not 116. Other results showed different pictures, different wheel types.
In my opinion I can't imagine any Walmart having the equipment to change that size of tire or even the jack to lift the coach.

Tire Specs Comparison

I looked at two Brands and Compared them. A statement was made that "The tires are made in China", well, I am not a big forein product fan, but Bridgestone is Japan, Toyo is Japan and Leao is China. I will likely bite the bullet and go with Michelin, bu I was curious about the price for a similar spec tire.

BRAND Michelin X LINE ENERGY Z Leao

Size 315/80 2.25 315/80 2.25

Ply 20 20

Tread Depth 17/32 18/32

Load 160/154 156/150

Speed L M

Rim 9

Max Load LBS. 9090 8047

Price $926 $286.16

Price includes shipping. Installation and other svcs. additional

When I observed "Walmart" had this tire, I phoned them and inquired about them having the capability to install these on a bus and was told "yes! Are you sure? Yes! I doubt they have the capability. Just find it odd about the major difference in price. The Leao tire specs on the Mfr site is comparable to Michelin, however Walmart's site says "light truck tire".

Jack, does your 2001 Magna have 315 tires on the front and 295 tires on the rear, or 315 tires all the way around?
I installed 315 front tires on our last two coaches. They have been Michelin and Continental. Both were excellent but the price is getting outrageous.

I'm considering Toyo tires for our next replacements.

Yes, I have Michelin XZA2 allthe way around (8 tires) 315/80 2.25's. Actually all 8 are in excellent shape with a lot of tread and I hate the thought of replacing them, but they are at 5 years now.
