LED headlight upgrade
I wanted to share my updated LED bulb comparison. I moved from Sylvania bulbs to LED. The pictures are in order, original low with fog lights, original high, LED low with fog lights, LED high and then LED low no fog lights.
I did walk in front and do feel that the "blinding" of a driver is about the same between both. I did notice that the LED low did a much better job at flooding the front with light. More of a broad beam.
Hope this helps with anyone contemplating a switch. I ordered Lasfit LS series from Amazon. They are 10,000 lumen's per pair and they cost $218
My only critique is that the low beam ones seem a little loose. I will call the manufacturer to see if I need to make an adjustment.

Actually might be close. Incandescent bulb - 65 watt, 1200 +/- lumen. His LED - 90 watt, 5000 lumen. Might be a little stretch, but not that much.

I replaced ours with LEDs and it is a world of difference. I got mine from superbrightleds.com. I have bought numerous bulbs from them for cars I have built and always good service and product.

I tried LED headlights bulbs (low beam) on our 2006 Winnebago. It uses the same headlight assembly you'd find on a 199 to 2003 Chevy/GMC pickup/Tahoe/Suburban.
The results were less than spectacular. Obviously the long and narrow shaped reflector was not well suited for the LED beam. It seemed like there was a large "hole" in the light pattern. It was so well diffused that it was almost dangerous to drive. I have since replaced them with a super-bright Xenon bulb. It seems to be better than the OEM bulbs that were in there, but still not exactly what I want for open-road driving. I am considering adding some LED cube lights like I have on my Jeeps to fill in where the headlights don't. I also use a relay to kill them when the brights are off.

LED headlight replacements vary considerably in both quality and brightness. A poor design will leave dark areas. Many are designed strictly as slightly brighter replacements that draw less power, while others are high end, super bright, and draw even more power than the factory incandescent bulbs. It will be interesting to hear experiences of those installing the high power ones, as they are usually fan cooled. If the fan dies, they will cook rapidly. Some others are heat sink cooled only.

MarK D thanks for posting, there is a marked improvement. Unfortunately with the background lighting it detracts ones impression as yo how much of an improvement there is. LED and HID tend to triple lumen output.
What method are they using to dissipate heat generated by the LED ?

These have are fan cooled. They have a 2 year warranty so I thought I would give it a shot. I kept the old bulbs just in case.

Me like many believe these guys the best. and 5 yr on good lights, hids just don't handle the vibration, and low warrenty.. if you call them they will answer any thing asked..

I agree. Their customer handling has been excellent.
The products are higher quality than most.

These are the LED headlights I used in my Class A. Night and day.

I installed Heise LED lights in our coach and the difference is tremendous. The Heise brand that I have, you can actually rotate the bulb in the mount to get the best pattern from your housing and they did away with the fans that fail and cause the lamp to die prematurely. They do have a larger heat sink which is not a problem on my coach.
I also have not had anyone flash me for being blinding after many hours of night time driving.

My beamtech leds have set screws so you can clock them with the bulbs side to side not up and down.
