LED Replacement for Ceiling Lights
This might be a model-specific issue, but the lights strip running the length of the ceiling has bunches of little 6" fluorescent tubes, and I have no idea--WHATSOEVER--where to find the little darlings. Quite a bit of the ceiling is dark when I turn them on, so I figure more than a couple are deader than dog doodoo.
Question (twofold): where does one find those, and/or is there an LED replacement that can mimic 5400 degree light tones? The latter would seem a good investment due to lower power requirement. Which reminds me...is there a catalogue of LED replacements for external lights (directional/ID/ICC)?
Yeah, I know...asking a lot here...

There are quite a few videos online showing how to convert to led. I will be doing it soon myself. Buy a roll of led strip lamps and cut off as much as can fit in your housing.

I had those fixtures all through my Safari and converted them to LED strip lights and it works great. I bought a couple 6 foot rolls of warm white self stick led strip light and connectors with pigtails. Removed the fixture, took out the guts and stuck the strips right to the white metal that was behind the tubes. Instead of cutting and using four individual strips, I used a single longer strip zig zagging back and forth four times. The strip twists where you make the bend but it doesn't look bad when the diffuser is in place. Gives off much better light than the factory fluorescent tubes.
Mine were 12 inch tubes. Here's the Sylvania part number: F8T5CW/bBL/1/6
Don't get confused and look for 12v tubes. The ballasts are 12v but it runs normal tubes.

I had incandescent bulbs in my light fixtures and moved to a 36 LED circuit board... each light (circuit board) replaced one bulb... simple, easy fix, just wired in the LED circuit board to 12 volts...
I assume on your fixtures you'd need to remove both the bulbs, and any circuit board that controls the florescent bulbs...
On the back of the circuit boards I installed is a 2 in x 2 in double sided tape, and the circuit board sticks to the old reflector in the light fixture...
My coach has 4 of these fixtures with 2 bulbs each... with the LED's I have more light, and have total current draw for the whole ceiling that is now less than ONE OLD BULB....
Bought them on line for like $2.50 a unit... inexpensive, more light, and a lot less current draw.... a win/win for me...

I bought 5 meter 5050 double LED light strips off E-bay and installed them in my florescent fixtures and couldn't be happier with the results! Brighter whiter light with much less power draw. See pictures as to how I installed them.

I did mine yesterday. Easy work really, just had to drill out rivets holding tube ends into housing. DW loves the bright kitchen.

Would you please post a link or item number for the ones you chose?
There are so many to choose from? Thanks!
