Legal Help With RV Repair Shop
We are trying to find legal help with a repair shop in South West Florida (Ft. Myers.
If you have had a successful experience with an attorney regarding an issue with a RV repair shop, would you pass along that information.
Preferably:
FT. Myers FL area
I don't need details of the issue just a reference to an attorney you have had a good experience with regardless of the results.
In the title of your reply please state:
RV Legal Help
The State you were in at the time
The city where the attorney's office is located
This will help other people searching this Thread for recommendations to experienced legal assistance.
In the body of your reply, the contact info for that attorney.
If you would prefer not to post a public reply, send me a personal message.
I think this thread could be a good resource to assist other RV'ers experiencing stressful interactions with repair facilities.

The internet is not the place to seek legal advice. Remember that the value you receive is worth exactly what you paid for the advice.....nothing. Your best advice will be from a legal aid in the state that you are in.
Look at this as a referral to an attorney for that one particular action.

Ken,
Thier is a similar post that was linked to my original post:
https://www.irv2.com/forums/f258/nee...lp-126907.html
After reading through the reply's, I found 7 of them helpful, particularly #38. Based on this reply I have identified the licensing agency for the repair shop in question and formalized my documentation of the history of contact with the shop. In addition to this we have contacted acquaintances in neighboring RV Resorts asking for specific recommendations.
The chaff I needed to read through in the 3 pages of replies influenced my efforts to suggest a structure for the replies. I had early experience working with a COBOL programmer in the late 70's and learned the basics of structured query language.

Not specific to your question....but to bring an attorney into the mix is always expensive. so, the repair cost has to be in excess of ~$10K to even consider that. Especially considering there are no promises on what happens. It is unlikely to find an attorney that would handle a repair issue on a percentage of what's awarded with success.
Check into Small Claims Court. Here in Michigan that limit is $6K.

Local Bar Association is likely your best bet. I think your very detailed request for information is a long shot.
Here is free legal advice. Did you sign an authorization form ? If yes, then unless you sustained some large clearly not preexisting loss with before pictures to back you, then I don't see what a lawyer is going to get you, but good luck.
Whenever I sign anything at a shop I write "not to exceed $$$ amount without authorization" and take a copy.
