Big warning sign in my coach that says to level first. So thats what I do. Makes sense to have the coach not all tweaked and twisted prior to running it out.

Check your owners manual, Travel Supreme says, push out slides then level. when ready to leave retract jacks then pull in slides ,this keeps the chassis square so slides won't bind.

I follow my owner's manual. Slides ALWAYS move with jacks retracted...so I deploy slides, level; retract jacks then retract slides.

Definitely check the manual. Our Monaco is the same slides out first then level. I do know a lot are the other way around. So best to follow what your Manufacture recommends.

RTFM Read the Full Manual and do what it says. Different manufacturers have different methods and procedures for leveling and extending the slides.

On my unit I was told to go out and check spacing on the full wall slide. If it looks pretty even run the slide out first, than level.
If it is to hung either side then level first. Newmar Tech built run for full wall slides from early this year I believe.

when i turn the slide control key on, a recording says: check the clearance outside the slide and the area around the chair, level the coach before press the button to start.

Funny about reading that owners manuel. Our Monaco doesn't say which to do first. But Monaco tech support ( called and asked several different ones) tells us that the slides in our year range were i bstallwd at ride height and to only move the slide with the RV aired up at ride height. So pull in park, slide out then dump air and jacks down. Your rig may be very different

Bevo , since you appear to have a Newmar, the new rule is to stay at ride hight and check the gaps in the large slide. If good extend the slide.
Reverse process for putting the slide in. Your best bet is to contact Newmar directly and request the latest procedure.

Ok chicken egg theory My habits for last 40 years is if not in round level rv bubble go put a 2x12 or so under tire. If touching bubble hit auto level and let air do its thing. Then run bedroom pass and last driver slide out. Go recheck it auto level moved with slides. I have not had hyd jack for several coaches so I know nothing about them

What are you, a bunch of women?
What American male reads the manual first?
Just kidding… I will go and read my manual now. I have never given it any thought.
